How much money should I spend for my first baby’s 1 yr birthday party?

My baby is turning 1 in November. I was planning to make this cowboy themed @ my in laws Ranch.My budget is $2,000. I know he wont remember anything but we want to make this special for being our first. He will have pictures and videos to look at!!

$2,000 is a lot of money, considering down the road he will remember parties and such. I wouldn’t spend that much, maybe put some of it back for christmas or for something else for him!
